An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Radar Men from the Moon, the 1952 Fred C. Brannon action science fiction (sci-fi) serial ("Introducing a new character Commando Cody"; "A Republic serial in 12 chapters") starring George Wallace (as Commando Cody), Aline Towne, Roy Barcroft, William Bakewel, Clayton Moore, and Dale Van Sickel. Note that this movie utilized footage from the 1949 serial "King of the Rocket Men" (whose character wore an incredibly similar suit), and also used some footage from 1941's "Adventures of Captain Marvel"! Also note that the lead character from this movie proved so popular that the following year, Republic Pictures gave him his own serial, called "Commando Cody", but in that serial, he was played by Judd Holdren! Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned two examples of this poster in all our years of auctioning, and we recently auctioned an unbacked example in "good to very good" condition, and it auctioned for $675! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds, with tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the vertical fold, and a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. It had pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
