A 1961 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Enemy Below, the 1957 Dick Powell Naval military World War II (WWII) Nazi submarine action thriller ("In the most amazing saga in the fighting annals of the U.S. Navy!"; "Killer-sub versus sub-killer!"; "Based on the novel by Commander D.A. Rayner"; "Screenplay by Wendell Mayes") starring Robert Mitchum, Curd Jurgens (billed as "Curt Jurgens"), David Hedison (billed as "Al Hedison"), Theodore Bikel, Russell Collins, and Kurt Kreuger
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that the back of this card was overprinted with a solid rectangular pattern. This was commonly done in the 1950s so that old lobby cards could be re-used as "frames" for 8x10 stills. This IS an original lobby card. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair. When a still was attached to the back of the card (see above), someone cut four diagonal slits in each corner of the image, and cut out a small triangle area by each slit. They put the corners of the still into each slit from the back of the card, and then taped the still into place from the front of the card. The tape is long gone, but there are four triangular areas of paper loss and four tape stains in each corner of the image.
