An Undated (probably late 1960s or early 1970s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Yugoslavian Movie Poster (measures 11 3/4" x 27 1/4" [30 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Les Diaboliques (released in the U.S. as "Henri-Georges Clouzot's Diabolique" and in other English-speaking countries as "The Fiends"), the 1955 Henri-Georges Clouzot ("France's master of suspense") French romantic love triangle crime murder mystery suspense horror thriller ("Don't Reveal the Ending!"; "An Extraordinary New Motion Picture"; "Important: During the entire engagement no one will be seated in the theatre once the main feature has begun. Please observe the Time Feature Schedule carefully."; based on the novel by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac) starring Simone Signoret, Vera Clouzot, Paul Meurisse, Charles Vanel, Jean Brochard, Noel Roquevert, and Pierre Larquey. Note that Alfred Hitchcock wanted to buy the film rights to the source novel for this film, but Clouzot beat him to the punch. UPDATED 09/13/2013: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that this poster is from a late 1960s or early 1970s re-release and NOT the 1955 first release as we initially listed. Condition: good to very good. There are some creases scattered throughout the poster.
