An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Dick Tracy's Dilemma, the 1947 John Rawlins detective mystery crime action thriller ("Famous man-hunter stalked by 'The Claw'!"; "It's Chester Gould's world of crime... Vitamin, Longshot Lillie, Sightless"; "Eerie killers stalk their prey!"; "The strangest killer in Tracy's career... 'The Claw!'"; based on the classic newspaper comic strip characters created by Chester Gould) starring Ralph Byrd (in the title role as Dick Tracy), Kay Christopher (as Tess Trueheart), Lyle Latell, Jack Lambert (as Steve 'The Claw' Michel), Ian Keith (as Vitamin Flintheart), Bernardine Hayes (as Longshot Lillie the Fence), and Jimmy Conlin (as Sightless the 'Blind' Beggar) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases along the foldlines and some creases and smudges in the borders. There were some faint scuffs in the center of the poster, including ones in Byrd's face and in the hook. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
