An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese Export (printed for use in English speaking countries) "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More)

the international theatrical release of Daitoa Senso (released in English-speaking countries as "The Pacific War"), the 1968 Nagisa Oshima Japanese made-for-TV World War II (WWII) military documentary ("A feature documentary from Pearl Harbour to Hiroshima") featuring Hosei Komatsu, Ichiro Shimizu, and Rokko Toura. Apparently, this was an Japanese TV documentary that someone at Toho saw and decided to distribute worldwide, so export posters were created with the Toho Company name at the bottom, but otherwise, Toho had nothing to do with the production of this film.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that there are two different "styles" of this poster - one is glossy and one has a matte finish. Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Also note that this Japanese B2 poster was printed in Japan, but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in English speaking countries. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good.
