An Original Vintage Deluxe 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] English News Photo (Learn More) The Beatles were a legendary English rock band from 1960 to 1970. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. They are the best-selling band in history, with estimated sales of over 600 million records worldwide, and many consider them to be the greatest rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) music musicians of the 1960s, or perhaps ever! Some of their movies include: Help!, A Hard Day's Night, Let It Be, and Yellow Submarine AND Marlene Dietrich was a very popular German actress and singer from the 1920s through the 1950s! She started in German movies in the 1920s, and then got her big break in Josef von Sternberg's "The Blue Angel", which was made in both a German and an English version. That led to a series of wonderful movies with von Sternberg. Some of her other movies include: Destry Rides Again, Shanghai Express, The Scarlet Empress, A Foreign Affair, Morocco (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Blonde Venus, Touch of Evil, Witness for the Prosecution, and Judgment at Nuremberg. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful English news photo, which measures 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm], is from the English news agency Central Press. It was sent to their New York branch, where it was used as well, so there is both an English stamp and a U.S. stamp on the back. The wonderful snipe tells that "Marlene joins the Beatles", and that she has "her hair done Beatles style", for their Royal Variety Performance! We have never seen any publicity items from this event before.. Also note that this is a deluxe news photo printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: very good. The news photo has a fine line across the waists of the people, but that is in the negative, because it does not extend outside the image.
