Note that star Patrick McGoohan had previously starred in an English TV series called "Danger Man" that ran in the 1960s, and was released in the U.S. as "Secret Agent". When that series was ending, McGoohan asked a member of England's Parliament, "So, what does a secret agent do when he retires?", and the man answered "Oh, we take care of them. We give them a house, a car, some pocket money, and that way they don't defect.", and that inspired McGoohan to create this series! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
