An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (SpanUS 1sh; printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Topaz, the 1969 Alfred Hitchcock crime suspense espionage spy thriller ("Hitchcock takes you behind the actual headlines to expose the most explosive spy scandal of this century!"; "From Leon Uris' inflammatory best seller"; "Topaz: A new novel by the author of Exodus, Leon Uris"; "Screenplay by Samuel Taylor"; "Hitchcock takes you behind the actual headlines to expose the most explosive spy scandal of this century!") starring Fredrick Stafford, Dany Robin, John Vernon (later very memorable as Dean Wormer in Animal House), Karin Dor, Michel Piccoli, Philippe Noiret, Claude Jade, Michel Subor, John Forsythe, and Roscoe Lee Browne NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that these one-sheet were printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Also note that this one-sheet was printed in the U.S., but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in Spanish speaking countries. Note that this poster was stamped "FOR" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOM" for use within the United States). Also note that this poster differs from the "DOM" poster in one small but very interesting way. The men pictured in the inset image at lower left do not have beards while the same men on the U.S. domestic poster have very Fidel Castro-like beards on them and the poster is stamped "without beards" on the back! Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
