Bennet") jungle fantasy island horror thriller ("Volcano of excitement... In the land of the fire-demons!"; "Battling the hordes of the fire-priestess!"; "Thundering with jungle adventure... throbbing with jungle thrills!") starring Johnny Weissmuller (as himself!), Angela Stevens, Kimba (the chimpanzee), Selmer Jackson, William Tannen, Ed Hinton, and Vera Francis (in the title role as Sarabina, the Devil Goddess, although she is not billed on the posters). Note that this movie was one of three movies Johnny Weissmuller made after his long-running series of "Jungle Jim" movies (this was in fact, Weissmuller's very final movie!). In those three movies, which resembled "Jungle Jim" movies in every way, Weissmuller is not called "Jungle Jim", but is billed as himself! The rights for the Jungle Jim character had been sold to Screen Gems which was going to make a TV series (starring Weissmuller) but producer Sam Katzman still had three stories pending with the Jungle Jim character. Rather than shelving the projects, he simply changed the character's name to Johnny Weissmuller. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good.
