A Hardcover Bound Volume of Original Vintage Comic Books (measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" [18 x 27 cm]; 312 pages) (Learn More)

Tarzan is a fictional character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1912. Tarzan first appeared in the novel Tarzan of the Apes (magazine publication in 1912 and book publication in 1914). He is depicted as a feral child raised in the African jungles by the great apes who later experiences civilization only to largely reject it and return to the wild as a heroic adventurer. The character has appeared in practically every form of media, including at least 100 movies starting in 1914, plus comic books, comic strips, TV shows, and much more!
Important Added Info: Note that this is a bound volume of Tarzan comics published in 1950 by Dell Publishing. Apparently, someone at the company had bound volumes like these created, likely soon after the comics were published (this bound volume has the six issues of their Tarzan comic published bi-monthly in 1954, #52-#57. Our consignor obtained this many decades ago when Dell Publishing was doing some "house cleaning"! The comic books are somewhat fragile and darkened around the edges. The covers are not as fragile, because they were printed on better paper. Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good". We provide images of the comic book covers, plus some interior 2-page spreads, which should allow you to get a sense of the condition of this hardcover bound volume of comic books.

Condition: good. The comic books are somewhat fragile and darkened around the edges. The covers are not as fragile, because they were printed on better paper.
