Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this 1940 first release half-sheet, and only one in the last 27 years (it sold for $1,768)! Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had creases, tears, and stains around the edges, with some creases and smudges scattered in the middle, mostly in the yellow area above Walt Disney's credit. Someone put pieces of tape on the back of the border defects and then performed amateur restoration to the borders and the yellow background area. If I owned this great poster, I would surely have a top professional paperback it, because after excellent restoration, the poster will display really well, especially because it was never folded and the colors are bright.
