An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Devotion, the 1931 Robert Milton romantic comedy ("'You can't love a married man!'"; "The star of stars in a startling story."; "Adapted from the novel 'A Little Fiat in the Temple' by Pamela Wynne"; about the daughter of a snobby upper class English family who hates her life, and she finds out that the family lawyer is looking for a nanny for his son, and she disguises herself with a dark wig and makeup, and gets the job, but soon the lawyer sees through her disguise, and naturally, they fall in love!) starring Ann Harding, Leslie Howard, Robert Williams, O.P. Heggie, and Louise Closser Hale. Note that the Robin Williams comedy, "Mrs. Doubtfire", reused important plot elements of this movie, except going one step further and having a man impersonate the female nanny! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a complete set of lobby cards (25 years ago) and three single lobby cards (in the 25 years after that) from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this lobby card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. There is a tiny pinhole in the center of the top blank border and a few other extremely minor border defects. Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition.
