An Unfolded Luxembourg Special Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 23 3/4" [42 x 60 cm]) (Learn More) SIDA 25 Sns Deja (literally translates to "AIDS 25 Years Already"), the 2000s Luxembourger poster created to educate people about HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) which causes AIDS (Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome) and how to protect themselves from the disease. The poster features many poster images (some with graphic nudity - see below). Note that when AIDS gripped the world in 1981, local authorities, healthcare providers and governments quickly created health posters as a way to inform people about the new disease. These public health campaigns continue to this day, and the posters show the different tactics, images (some quite provocative) and messages used by various countries and health agencies in their attempts to educate people about the AIDS/HIV threat.
