A La Belle Jardiniere (literally translates to "To the Beautiful Gardener") was a French chain of clothing stores which were founded in Paris in 1824 by Pierre Parissot. The company expanded greatly over the years and became one of the first clothing franchises. The franchise was sold in 1972 and ceased operations.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had some extra folds with tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some pretty minor wear on the folds. It had smudges, scuffs, and dot stains scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
