An Original Vintage Unfolded Subway Television Poster (measures 44" x 59 1/4" [112 x 150 cm]) (Learn More)

Thriller Theater, the 1971 - 1972 science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy horror thriller local television (TV) series which aired on WOR-TV (channel 9) Monday through Friday at 4:30 in New York City. This series featured classic Universal monster films and B movies such as Return Of The Vampire, The Giant Claw, Mutiny In Outer Space, The Monster That Challenged The World and many more. Like most TV shows of the time, there were no "posters" created, but because this was a New York City show, a really cool subway poster (which, not surprisingly, hung in the subways) was created with art by legendary E.C./MAD artist Jack Davis.
Artist: Jack Davis
Important Added Info: Note that as noted above we have only auctioned one example of this poster before (and it sold for $775, and that example was linenbacked and this one is not)!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has patches of discoloration mainly at upper right, and there are some tiny dot stains in a few portions of the edges (see our image). There is a small tear at lower right and a tiny one at center near the creature's nose, and those are repaired with tape from the back. There is some general fold and border wear and there are light creases and some other creases scattered in various areas. It is otherwise in generally nice condition.
