An Autographed 7 1/2" x 11" [19 x 28 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) William 'Billy' Benedict was an actor from the 1930s to the 1970s. He was in many of the Bowery Boys movies as "Whitey". Some of his movies include: Riders of the Pony Express, Bowery Battalion and Fighting Fools. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by William Benedict! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 1/2" x 11" [19 x 28 cm]. Finally, note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that our consignor is a major western buff who attended all of the western memorabilia shows of the 1970s on, and he became friendly with all the B-western stars who regularly attended those shows, and he would often socialize with them outside of the shows, and he obtained many signed photos in person over those years. He has reached an age where he has consigned his collection to us. We are 100% certain that the autograph on this item is genuine! Condition: very good to fine. The still is in quite nice condition!
