Some theater in Rhode Island wanted to make their own poster for when they "premiered" the movie in Rhode Island for this re-release (likely some time between 1968 and 1974), and so they took a portion of a one-sheet (almost surely a 1968 one), and glued it to the center of a large banner and had a local artist hand letter the title, credits, and play dates in the borders around it! While it is not the typical "movie poster", it certainly will look impressive on the new owner's wall! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The artwork portion of the poster is a trimmed one-sheet that was glued to this poster (see above). The rest of the poster is original lettering created by a local artist. There are many creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster. It was backed onto linen with no excess and it still displays reasonably well, but you can clearly see the above defects (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
