eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result #3639 HIDDEN EYE 5 8x10s #2 '45 Edward Arnold Date Sold 10/14/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) The Hidden Eye, the 1945 Richard Whorf canine German Shepherd dog seeing-eye-dog detective crime mystery thriller ("New adventures of the blind detective and his seeing eye dog!"; "From a story by George Harmon Coxe") starring Edward Arnold, Frances Rafferty, Ray Collins, Paul Langton, William 'Bill' Phillips, and Friday (the German Shepherd dog; "Played by Himself"). Note that three years earlier, Edward Arnold had played the same character in "Eyes in the Night", and he was a blind detective with a seeing-eye-dog named Friday (played by the same canine actor), but oddly, that dog made no other movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the still set. Because we are selling more than one set of stills from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..". Also note that there is a printed paper snipe attached to the back of each still describing the scene on the front. Condition: very good. We are selling thousands of stills this week, and we can't give detailed descriptions of every one. However, we have linked the small image below to a much larger image that should allow you to get an excellent idea of the still(s) defects (if any). Please realize that these are original vintage stills (most many decades old), and they will have defects typical of decades old photos. The still(s) in this lot have the following general defects (please also look at the larger image by clicking on the image below): border defects including a blank border folded back in two stills and creases and a few tack holes around the edges as well as minor scuffs and smudges throughout the image area of the stills (mostly only noticeable when the stills are held at an angle to the light). Note that these stills are slightly "bowed" (they don't lay completely flat). This is common with original vintage stills. The stills could be easily flattened out over time by storing them under weight. Learn More about condition grades
