Edgar Rice Burroughs' Jungle Girl, the 1941 John English & William Witney jungle native tribe adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters"; "Based on the famous novel 'Jungle Girl' by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Frances Gifford (in the title role as Nyoka Meredith, the Jungle Girl), Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr, Trevor Bardette, Eddie Acuff, Frank Lackteen, Tommy Cook, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all he did (no doubt he too owned a gorilla suit!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
