An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43" [74 x 109 cm]) (Learn More) Fantomas, the 1947 Jean Sacha French master criminal crime thriller starring Marcel Herrand (in the title role as Fantomas), Simone Signoret (in one of her earliest starring roles!), Alexandre Rignault, Lucienne Le Marchand, and Andre Le Gall. Note that the Fantomas character was in French stories, and was in a French movie by Louis Feuillade in 1913, which spawned four sequels, and is generally considered to have been the forerunner of the American serials of the middle 1910s. There also was a 1920 English Fantomas, and a 1932 U.S. version prior to this movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and tiny tears on parts of the folds. It had faint stains scattered in the title and faint stains and darkening in the borders, with small tears in the upper left border. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
