The fantastic war of the giant fire monsters!"; "Raging up from hell to destroy each other - but first they'll destroy the world!"; "Gigantis Raging out of the bowels of the earth... A hundred tons of hell and fire to ravage and destroy!"; "Angurus Screaming its challenge of mortal combat... Shooting 10,000 degree jets of flaming devastation!"; "They're both alive! Not one but Two of the most terrifying creatures ever loosed on man"; "The fantastic war of giant fire monsters!"; "Born to destroy each other... But first they'll destroy the world!"; "A cast of thousands!") starring Godzilla (billed as "Gigantis" for the U.S. release), Anguirus (billed as "Angurusa" for the U.S. release; gigantic spiked dinosaur, Angirasu), Hiroshi Koizumi, Setsuko Wakayama, Minoru Chiaki, "and A Cast of Thousands!". Not that this is the second Godzilla movie. Gigantis was actually Gojira/Godzilla, but the group that purchased the American rights to the film renamed him in an attempt to convince audiences that Gigantis was a brand new monster.q Important Added Info: Note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Almost every Academy Award winning movie would have a special "Academy Award winner" supplement. Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: very good. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers).
