Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) The Colossus of New York, the 1958 Eugene Lourie New York City robot-with-a-human-brain science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Based on a story by Willis Goldbeck") starring John Baragrey, Mala Powers, Otto Kruger, Robert Hutton, Ross Martin, Charles Herbert (as the small boy), and Ed Wolff (in the title role as the Colossus!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Also note this poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: fine. This poster was in fine condition prior to linenbacking. There was some typical fold and border wear and tiny paper loss at some crossfolds, but overall the poster was in nice condition! The poster's minor flaws were well corrected during the linenbacking process (at which time the separate pieces of the poster were carefully matched, as was intended, which makes them appear to be a single image) and the poster now looks great!
