Important Added Info: Note that these are two really remarkable stills! They were created during a visit to the set of this movie by representatives of Cinegraf Magazine, a film magazine published in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 1932 and 1937. One of them is a great close portrait of Karloff in full makeup, and it is stamped by Freulich on the back. The other shows a candid image of Zita Johann sitting on the set reading a current issue of Cinegraf (that photo is not stamped on the back, but it seems that it would surely be by Freulich as well). Karloff autographed the close portrait at bottom center, writing "To Cinegraf, Karloff" below it! Obviously, Cinegraf was on the set when this movie was being filmed, and they were presented with these two great stills at that time! Our consignor purchased the archives of this magazine, and these two wonderful stills were included, and he has consigned them directly to us. Also note that these stills have been trimmed and now measure 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" [22 x 34 cm]. Condition: good. Both stills were trimmed (they were found in a South American photo archive, where they had been used in a magazine, and they were likely trimmed at that time). Both stills have some creases in parts of the edges. The still of Karloff had some sort of tape over the word "Cinegraf" in the autograph at bottom center, and there is residue of it, and I leave it to the new owner of this great still to have it professionally removed (I don't know if it will leave any residue when it is removed).
