eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6h0083 JAWS OF THE JUNGLE 3sh 1936 art of snake, tiger & leopard over topless natives, ultra rare! Date Sold 4/14/2024Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Jaws of the Jungle, the 1936 Eddie Granemann animal exploitation jungle adventure ("Stark Realism!"; "Demons of the wild on a rampage!"; "Fangs of death bared for the kill!") narrated by Cliff Howell and starring Teeto, Minta, Gukar, Walla (billed as "the comic chimpanzee"), and Agena (billed as "the rollicking honey bear"). Note that this film features much stock footage and topless natives, and is about villagers in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) fleeing from vampire bats (which were actually fruit bats). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this three-sheet. Not only that, but we have only auctioned two first release one-sheets in all our years of auctioning. It is interesting to note that the one-sheet did not have a similar image to this three-sheet, which not only has great art of a monstrous snake with its mouth wide open, but also a leopard, two tigers, and topless native girls! Note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Condition: good to very good. There is separation and small paper loss on some crossfolds, with some creases, tears, and small paper loss on parts of the folds. The top one-third of the poster was on the outside when it was fully folded, and it has the most wear, and it has glue stains on the back of the part with the "ung" of the title, but they do not really affect the front. That section has some tears and paper loss in the borders, and the other two sections are in better condition. Someone put a single piece of tape on the back of a border tear in the top section, but otherwise, no restoration was performed. Please look closely at our super-sized image to get a good sense of the overall condition of this incredibly rare poster. Learn More about condition grades
