The Santa Fe Opera is an Opera Company from 1956 to the present. The company was founded by John Crosby, and is located just North of Santa Fe, New Mexico. They have presented operas each summer festival season since 1957, and are internationally known for introducing new operas as well as for its productions of the standard operatic repertoire. Since its inception, Santa Fe Opera has staged more than 43 American premieres and 15 world premieres.
