Joe Louis vs Bob Pastor, the 1939 boxing sports match ("See what the Champion did in this Full Feature Length Entertainment packed with action!"; "4 Knock Downs the 1st Round, Louis Knocked into the Ropes in the 8th"; "Action!") between Joe Louis and Bob Pastor that took place in Detroit, Michigan on September 20, 1939. In the days before television was widely available, boxing matches were almost always filmed and then released to movie theaters, and the best matches often were extremely popular with moviegoers.
