An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, the 1942 Mark Sandrich romantic love triangle musical comedy ("Lyrics and Music by Irving Berlin"; about two performers who opened a New England inn that is only open on holidays) starring Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Marjorie Reynolds, Virginia Dale, Walter Abel, and Louise Beavers. Note that this was the movie that introduced the Irving Berlin classic "White Christmas". It proved VERY popular, and in 1954, Paramount pretty much remade this movie as White Christmas, with Danny Kaye replacing Fred Astaire, and two new female leads, and that became an all-time Christmas classic!

Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

UPDATED 10/07/2020: Note that we have updated the Condition information.

Condition: good. Each of the horizontal folds has fully separated and they are backed by clear tape (see our image). It has several tears of varying lengths around the edges and most are or were backed by tape that stains in the front mostly at right and lower right and there is a tape repair on the front at upper left. Much of the image is intact and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
