An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) For the Service, the 1936 Buck Jones cowboy western ("Story by Isadore Bernstein") starring Buck Jones (who also produced and directed the movie!), Fred Kohler, Beth Marion, Frank McGlynn Sr., Phillip Trent (billed as "Clifford Jones"), Ben Corbett, Edward Keane, Chief Thunderbird, Slim Whitaker, and Silver the horse. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned several lobby cards from this movie, but we have only auctioned one example of this scene card, and that was in a complete set!
