An Original Vintage Theatrical 6 1/4" x 8" Movie Still (Learn More) Son of Frankenstein, the classic 1939 Rowland V. Lee Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("Mysterious! Weird! Horrifying!"; "The greatest fear figures in screen history... all in Universal's New cavalcade of horror!"; the third Universal "Frankenstein" movie) starring Basil Rathbone (in the title role as the original Dr. Frankenstein's son), Boris Karloff (in the title role as the Frankenstein monster), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Lionel Atwill, Josephine Hutchinson, and Donnie Dunagan (as Peter von Frankenstein) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we can't be sure that this still is from "Son of Frankenstein" and not "Ghost of Frankenstein", where Lugosi played the same role. The still numbers on the still can be read and they are "931-46-AD" (or possibly 931-46-711). If anyone knows for sure which movie this still is from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this still has been heavily trimmed and it now measures 6 1/4" x 8" (see below). Condition: fair. Some newspaper or magazine took an original 8" x 10" still of Bela Lugosi from this movie, and they trimmed part of the still around his image and then put paint around the edge of his head and on his shoulders, and then used it in an article. The trimmed still now measures 6 1/4" x 8". Obviously, it has major defects, but the image of Lugosi's face is mostly unaffected. Learn More about condition grades
