Johnston"; a clever story of a small girl who is kidnapped, and 18 years later, her mother gets pneumonia and is dying, and her husband wants to see her die happily, so he hires a dance hall girl to pose as his long lost daughter, so his wife's last days will be very happy; but seeing her "lost daughter" causes her to recover, and the girl is faced with endlessly pretending to be someone she is not, and complicating the story is a rich young man who is in love with her, and the sleazy ex-boyfriend she used to have!) starring Sally Eilers, Ray Milland (billed as "Raymond Milland"), Juanita Quigley (playing Mary Dow as a child, billed as "Baby Jane"), Katharine Alexander, Lola Lane, Henry O'Neill, and Clarence Muse. Note that this was one of many movies Ray Milland made at the beginning of his career, where he was either uncredited or credited as "Raymond Milland". A year later, he would start to get starring roles, and he would become a major star over the next decade! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and it is folded once in each direction. There is a 2" tear in the middle right of the front cover. Otherwise, the pressbook is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
