An Original Vintage Folded Russian Circus Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 34 1/2" [60 x 88 cm]) (Learn More)

Zatayno Carnival Theater (literal translation of the Russian title), the circa 1930s circus poster promoting a music and entertainment event which featured Ensemble of Giants (jazz musicians on stilts), a magic/illusion show, a stage play, acrobats, jugglers, clowns and more! The event took place in Sokolniki Park in Moscow (in 1931 it was developed as an official "park of culture and leisure"). Note that this poster features artwork of giant musician clowns and a large circus tent. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has several inches of separation in the upper and lower vertical foldlines and those areas are backed by brown tape. It has some more minor defects around the edges and light fold and border wear, and after linenbacking with some restoration the very rare poster will look great!
