Wells' The War of the Worlds, the classic 1953 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) Martian extraterrestrial alien invasion action thriller ("From the ends of the universe... they are reaching for YOU!"; produced by George Pal; loosely based on the classic novel by H.G. Wells; about seemingly unstoppable aliens invading the Earth) starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, Les Tremayne, Robert Cornthwaite, Lewis Martin, and Ann Codee NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had a semi-circular tear starting in the middle right of the "W" of "War" and extending through the bottom left of the "a" and into the "OF". There was a smaller tear in the background to the right of the "E" of "THE". There a Y-shaped tear in the middle of the "E" of "WELLS" in the top border and extending into the "LLS". There was separation and tiny bits of paper loss on the foldlines and some tears and tiny paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was really nicely backed, but you can see slight signs of the restoration of the above defects.
