5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Argentine Love, the circa late 1910s D. Dixon silent romantic melodrama ("A stirring story of a Spanish girl and an American Horseman") starring Marin Sais, "and an all-star cast". If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that star Marin Sais has a fascinating life story that is unfortunately completely forgotten today! She was born in California in 1890 to a family of Spanish descent, and she started out wanting to be an opera singer, and that took her to New York, but around 1910, she decided to enter movies, and she appeared in a LOT of movies in the 1910s, including many westerns with Hoot Gibson. But she later married Jack Hoxie, and they were married for five years, and when they divorced, she started playing character roles in movies, not surprisingly in westerns. She ended up making over 200 movies before she retired in 1953, and she passed away in 1971.
