An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Luck of the Irish, the 1948 Henry Koster romantic fantasy comedy ("Based on a novel by Guy & Constance Jones"; about a U.S. reporter who visits Ireland, and earns the gratitude of a leprechaun, and when he returns to the U.S., the leprechaun goes with him, wanting to repay his debt) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Anne Baxter, Cecil Kellaway (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Lee J. Cobb, James Todd, Jayne Meadows, J.M. Kerrigan, Phil Brown, and Charles Irwin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra fold above and below the left half of the top and bottom folds, at a diagonal. It had some tears in the middle left of the middle fold, with some tiny tears and fine surface paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
