An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Pay Day, the 1922 Charlie Chaplin (billed as "Charles Chaplin") silent romantic slapstick 2-reel comedy short ("It's worth a years salary to see - Charles Chaplin in 'Pay Day'"; "Written and directed by Charles Chapin"; which features Chaplin as an expert bricklayer!) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Phyllis Allen, Mack Swain, Edna Purviance, Syd Chaplin, Albert Austin, John Rand, Loyal Underwood, Henry Bergman, and Al Ernest Garcia NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that lobby cards from this early Charlie Chaplin 2-reeler have always been scarce. In all our years of auctioning, we have only auctioned a title card and five scene cards, but two of those were duplicated, so we had only previously seen four of the eight cards. Now we have been consigned a rare complete set of 8 cards, which we are auctioning individually! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is a 1 1/2" tear in the lower right border that was repaired with tape from the back. There is a tiny bit of paper loss in the bottom right blank corner and top left blank corner, a tiny tear in the center of the left blank border, and a few faint smudges around the edges. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
