An Undated (probably 1950s) Re-Release Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 47 1/4" x 63" [120 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Sons of the Desert, the classic 1933 Lloyd French & William A. Seiter Hawaii screwball husbands-and-wives comedy (produced by Hal Roach; likely the very best Laurel & Hardy movie, this is the one where they sneak off to a Sons of the Desert convention and play ukuleles and sing "Honolulu Baby", but they lie to their wives and are reported dead in a ship sinking, and much more!) starring Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy), Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), Mae Busch, and Dorothy Christy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bohle Important Added Info: Note that we believe this poster is surely from a 1950s re-release. But to complicate matters, there are two completely different posters for this movie that we believe are from two different 1950s re-releases. Since we don't know the years of either, we are simplifying telling them apart by calling one the "red" style, and one the "white" style. If anyone knows more about either release, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: fair. Learn More about condition grades
