An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Gambling House, the 1951 Ted Tetzlaff New York/New Jersey gambling murder mistaken identity crime thriller ("Here comes Mature! Shrewd ...Charming ...Hard ...A Gambler!"; "The crime-smeared tale of Mike Fury, fall guy, who became a marked man!"; about a small time crook who agrees to take the rap for an accidental murder committed by a top crime boss in return for $50,000, thinking he will just serve a short time in jail, but he discovers he will be deported because he is not a U.S. citizen, and he wants to back out of the deal) starring Victor Mature, Terry Moore, William Bendix, Zachary Charles, Basil Ruysdael, and Cleo Moore NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1/2" to the left of the regular one. There were two small tears in the bottom right of the inset image (one partially in the edge of Bendix's hat). There was minor wear on the foldlines and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
