An Original 1953 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Color Transparency (measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" [8 x 8 cm]) (Learn More) Riders of the Whistling Pines, the 1949 John English singing cowboy western musical ("Gene's ridin' high with the Forest Rangers!"; "Save the forests from the outlaw lumber gang!") starring Gene Autry ("World's Greatest Cowboy"), Champion ("World's Wonder Horse"), Patricia White, Jimmy Lloyd, Cass County Boys, The Pinafores, and Clayton Moore (billed as "Henchman Pete", in one of his many early "henchman" roles in B-westerns before he became a star!). Note that The Pinafores were a trio of female country western singers named Beulah, Ione, and Eunice Kettle (they were also sisters). They were discovered by Eddie Dean and made records with him. Gene Autry then had them on his radio show, and he paired them with the Cass County Boys in a sextet. They appeared in this one movie and no others! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Offered here is a rare full-color German 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" color transparency from this movie (apparently it was being shown with a serial chapter, because there is an ad at the lower right for chapter 4 of the serial "The Monster and the Ape")!
