The Girl Can't Help It, the 1956 Frank Tashlin romantic musical nightclub romantic comedy ("Based a story by Garson Kanin"; about a down-and-out gangster who hires an alcoholic press agent to make his blonde bombshell girlfriend a recording star in 6 months) starring Tom Ewell, Jayne Mansfield, Edmond O'Brien, Julie London, Ray Anthony, Barry Gordon, ("Featuring") Henry Jones, John Emery, Juanita Moore, Henry Kulky, ("and introducing the following rock 'n' roll stars") Fats Domino, The Platters, Little Richard & His Band, Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps, The Treniers, Eddie Fontaine, The Chuckles, Abbey Lincoln, Johnny Glenn, Nino Tempo, and Eddie Cochran. Note that it is funny that the producers said that they were "introducing the following rock 'n' roll stars", because certainly some of them had previously appeared in movies!
