An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Adventurous Blonde, the 1937 Frank McDonald detective reporter mystery comedy (the third in a series of nine movies with Glenda Farrell as Torchy Blane) starring Glenda Farrell (in the title role as Torchy Blane), Barton MacLane, Anne Nagel, Tom Kennedy, and Natalie Moorhead. Note that the first Torchy Blane movie was made in 1937, called "Smart Blonde", and it starred Glenda Farrell in the lead role. There were a total of nine Torchy Blane movies. Farrell played the lead in seven of them. In two of the ones near the end of the series, Jane Wyman and Lola Lane filled in for Farrell, perhaps because she had other commitments. The series only lasted for two years, but was quite popular. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card (we auctioned that same card twice)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period, and it is somewhat fragile around the edges. There are two tape repairs on the back of the left of the top border.
