The most beautiful motion picture of the year."; "The Musical that fills the world with love."; "He is a shy schoolmaster. She is a music hall star. They marry and immediately have 283 children... all boys!"; "A new kind of motion picture musical. A love story as timeless as forever"; "Based on the Novel by James Hilton" about a dedicated teacher) starring Peter O'Toole (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Petula Clark (English actress who years later had a highly successful career as a pop singer, best remembered for the song "Downtown"), Michael Redgrave (billed as "Sir Michael Redgrave"), George Baker, and Michael Bryant. Note that there was a 1939 movie based on this same novel (with the same name) starring Robert Donat, but it was not a musical. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
