What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had an extra horizontal fold across the center and a great deal of tiny surface paper loss on parts of many foldlines, including unfortunately in the one that runs through Martin's forehead. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone simply backed it onto linen and made no attempt at any restoration.
