An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

The Love Parade, the 1929 Ernst Lubitsch (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) mythical country royalty romantic musical comedy ("Paramount's greatest talking-singing picture"; "From the play 'The Prince Consort' by Leon Xanrof and Jules Chancel"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a queen of a mythical country who marries a diplomat, who is expected to act as a royal consort, but he is unhappy with that role) starring Maurice Chevalier (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Jeanette MacDonald, Lupino Lane, Lillian Roth, and Eugene Pallette. Note that this was director Ernst Lubitsch's first talking movie!

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: good to very good. There are some scattered stains in the image, but they seem to clearly be on the surface of the glass and almost surely can be removed by a talented amateur. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass.
