Washington Senators, who were an American league baseball team that was founded in Kansas City in 1894 but moved to Washington D.C. in 1901. They were immortalized in the 1955 Broadway musical Damn Yankees. In 1960, the team was moved to Minneapolis and became the Minnesota Twins. This great news photo shows the field at Griffith Stadium as viewed from the outfield with the first game of the season just starting (President Roosevelt was in attendance!).

Important Added Info: Note that this news photo measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" [17 x 22 cm].
