An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Heart of a Siren, the 1925 Phil Rosen silent romantic melodrama ("Adapted from the stage play by William Hurlbut"; a real tearjerker, about a great beauty who is spurned by a rich British man at a French hotel, and she wants revenge, so she follows him to France, where she does make him fall in love with her, but by that point she has fallen in love with him; they are happy together, but then his mother tells her that her son will never be happy with her, and she arranges for her husband to catch her with his best friend, and he leaves her, and she goes off to kill herself, but luckily the best friend tells the husband what really happened, and he arrives just in time to save her) starring Barbara La Marr, Conway Tearle, Harry T. Morey (billed as "Harry Morey"), Arnold Daly, Benjamin F. Finney Jr. (billed as "Ben Finney"), Clifton Webb (in his second credited movie role), and Paul Doucet. Note that Clifton Webb plays an English butler in this, his second credited role, and his fifth movie appearance overall (and we have auctioned the lobby card set, and he is prominently pictured on two cards). Also note that the IMDb says that Arnold Daly was not in this movie, which could mean that his role was cut out, but he is mentioned on all the advertising, and also in newspaper stories, so it is possible that the IMDb is simply wrong. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one and we have only auctioned a set of lobby cards and one herald and no other movie paper items from this film in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a large tear in the right edge that extends into La Marr's shoulder (see our image). There are creases along portions of the upper and lower horizontal folds, and there is some spotty discoloration on back of the lower quarter but it is not very noticeable or distracting on the front. After a fairly simple linenbacking the very rare 1925 poster will display well! Learn More about condition grades
