An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) the international theatrical release of Ballerina, the 1966 Norman Campbell Danish/U.S. Walt Disney family relationship ballet dance melodrama ("The story of one girl's burning desire to become a star in satin shoes!"; "Filmed in Copenhagen... home of the internationally famous Royal Danish Ballet!") starring Kirsten Simone, Henning Kronstam, Poul Reichhardt, and Mette Honningen of The Royal Danish Ballet, and Jenny Agutter (13 years-old and in her fourth movie!). This is a completely forgotten, but apparently fascinating Disney movie! It was filmed in Denmark and shown as a two part episode of the "Disneyland" TV show, and then received an international theatrical release with the two parts combined into a single feature. The movie concerns a young girl who wants to be a ballerina, and her parents try to persuade her to pursue something more "realistic". Disney hired the top three stars of the Royal Danish Ballet to perform in the movie. Apparently, the movie has been completely unseen and forgotten for many years. Given that Disney loves to find new revenue from their old product, it seems very surprising that they have not marketed this movie in any way! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
