An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Canadian One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 30 1/2" x 40") (Learn More) Carry On Cowboy, the 1965 Gerald Thomas English cowboy western sexploitation comedy ("How the West was lost!") starring Sidney James, Kenneth Williams, Jim Dale, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Angela Douglas, and Edina Ronay. Note that this was one of a very popular series of 30 "Carry On..." sexploitation movies that were made in England between 1958 (the first one was "Carry On Sergeant") and 1978 (at that point, it became a TV series, and there was one final theatrical movie in 1992)! Important Added Info: Note that this Canadian poster measures 30 1/2" x 40" and that it is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Poster had creases and some tears on some foldlines, and tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and in background areas of some foldlines. It had minor smudges and creases throughout, as well as some minor border defects, including pinholes in the corners. The poster is well linenbacked, and the restored defects are not very noticeable.
