Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The She-Creature, the 1956 Edward L. Cahn horror science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("It Can and Did Happen! Based on authentic Facts you've been reading about!"; "Hypnotized! Reincarnated as a Monster from Hell!"; "The Startling disclosure about Reincarnation and Age Regression!"; "Based on an original idea by Jerry Zigmond"; about a scientist who is able to cause his assistant to revert to a monster she was in a previous life millions of years before, and the monster kills people, and the scientist teams with a rich guy to profit off of the killings) starring Chester Morris, Marla English (in the title role as the assistant who becomes the She-Creature), Tom Conway, Cathy Downs, Lance Fuller, Ron Randell, Frieda Inescort, Paul Dubov, and Paul Blaisdell (as the man in the She-Creature suit). Note that Chester Morris had been a very successful leading man in the 1930s and he successfully transitioned to stardom in B-movies in the 1940s, most notably the Boston Blackie series, but his career was coming to an end when he made this super low budget movie, and, in fact, he retired after it, coming out of retirement for a small role 14 years later in The Great White Hope, just before his passing. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had small tears, pinholes, small areas of paper loss and some creases and smudges in the blank borders; the person who restored the poster used a combination of paint and new paper to repair the blank borders (it was very expertly done and most people would not realize it unless it was specifically shown to them); the image area had a few small tears on the foldlines and a small circular area of paper loss just to the right of the center fold in the white robe of the woman; there were tiny holes at each crossfold; there are some odd, very light vertical fine lines running down the right center of the image; one of them goes through the woman's head down to her waist; the person who restored the poster repaired the above defects in the image area really expertly and did quite a nice job but left the fine lines in the right of the image alone (they are truly not very noticeable or distracting); overall, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to restoration. If you look very close up you can see the restoration, but otherwise it looks quite nice! Learn More about condition grades
