Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Linenbacked Six-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 81" x 81") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock romantic crime mystery thriller ("It's a web of romance and suspense that spins you from delight to danger - then spirals to an explosive climax on the fabulous Riviera!"; "Based on the novel by David Dodge"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a retired jewel thief living on the Riviera, and there is a string of daring jewel robberies, so naturally, he is the lead suspect, and he decides to find the true thief himself, and he is aided by a beautiful rich young woman and her mother!) starring Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Jessie Royce Landis, John Williams, Charles Vanel, Brigitte Auber, Rene Blancard, Georgette Anys, and Jean Martinelli. Note that Cary Grant had announced his retirement from movies in 1953, but he was lured out of retirement by Hitchcock to make this one. Also note that Jessie Royce Landis, who had played Grant's mother in "North by Northwest", this time played his potential mother-in-law, and yet, she was only eight years older than Grant, who had aged very well! Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in good to very good condition. There were several areas of paper loss across the center foldline (below the word "GRACE" and also all across the foldline above "CARY GRANT"). There were lesser amounts of paper loss and also tears along many other foldlines. Most of the borders of the poster were tattered and new paper has been carefully placed over much of the original borders. Linenbacking has minimized the poster's defects, but they are still somewhat noticeable, although I do not think they are all that distracting. Learn More about condition grades
