Note that actor Richard Bennett was originally cast in the role that eventually went to Lionel Atwill, and advertising was prepared crediting Bennett! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this jumbo lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a very light paper backing (acid-free), that keeps the "feel" of the lobby card similar to that of the original lobby card. Some restorers prefer to paperback lobby cards on to a heavy backing, while others prefer to use a very lightweight backing. The advantage of a lightweight backing is that the card still "feels" like a regular lobby card, but a heavier backing makes restoration easier to do and less noticeable. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. Prior to paperbacking, the card had a tiny bit of paper loss in the upper left border, with a 4" crease above it, extending to the top edge. It had a 1" tear in the left of the top border and a tear in the top right corner that detached a small piece of the poster. It had some very minor other border wear. Overall, the jumbo lobby card was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. Some very talented restorer (almost surely a museum restorer) paperbacked the card onto a very thin backing and performed really expert restoration to the above defects. The card displays wonderfully, and it completely looks and feels like an unbacked card, and will look fantastic on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
